This sounds like a soundbite, i.e., a short statement extracted from a larger context, but 18YO [i.e., my eighteen-year-old daughter] has turned me on to the staggering number of Kids Today for whom this is pretty much the sum total of their grasp of presidential politics: they seem to think the only thing the Dems have done is be Against Trump. While I can’t say I’ve actually talked with staggering number of KTs, my sense is that an alarmingly large segment of them are mostly or entirely clueless about what the Biden admin has actually gotten done. The admin is responsible for that: their “messaging,” when it’s existed at all, has been beyond inept — a profound mistake given how deeply Trump turned many people away from politics at all. But anyone who thinks they’ll “do good” by voting for a third-party clown is a f*cking idiot to a degree that negates even the best intentions. And it takes a lot to get me to say things like this.
