Libertarians aren’t invested in the state, so they don’t really have any context for memorials or monuments — no grand narrative to support, no entity to create them, no audience for them, and so on. It’s a pity, because it’s looking like the Champlain Towers South would be an excellent libertarian monument: ~150 heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for the sanctity of property rights, the supremacy of market forces, and above all freedom from regulation.
