This is the dataviz equivalent of winning a $300M lotto. If you set out to design something to drive the Tuftean hordes insane, it’d look like this. And yet it’s utterly brilliant: it works because it’s 100% analog — a flow chart mapped onto a state space mapped onto a Marey stack, with the earth depicted as…a marble rolling around in a kid’s game. So many tropes. So. much. win.
