“Then-New York city mayor and now staunch Trump ally Rudy Giuliani signed the bill requiring sprinklers into force on March 24, 1999, having opposed it when it was first proposed in 1997.” For those keeping track at home, these were the very same years when Giuliani decided — against quite a bit of pushback — to put his emergency command center on the 23rd floor of WTC7. Upside: the convenient location, monogrammed towels, and humidor made it a great f*ckpad for Giuliani and his then-girlfriend Judi Nathan. Downside: the 1200 gallons of diesel needed for the center’s generators materially contributed to the collapse of that building.
