The various twitter [seasons] etc had less to do with the potentially liberatory effects of new communicative platforms than the ways in which these platforms flatten all these struggles and make them look alike, as if they’re a shared struggle. If so, the the problem of clicktivism isn’t what it doesn’t accomplish, it’s what it does accomplish: reaffirm an inane and illusory sense of sameness.
