Here’s my comment of the day:
When I read this I got a distinctly creepy feeling (again) that the right has stumbled onto the universal solvent of democracy and, after a few huffs, will be addicted. The NYT’s abiding faith in virtuous public discourse is a beautiful thing: if they speak the truth in public, good things will happen. But the NYT’s opposition to pardoning Arpaio is, in itself, a reason for Trump to do it. And so with everything else: the outrage of the establishment is a map that tells Trump where to plant his IADs (Improvised Antidemocratic Devices) and blow sh*t up.
