This ex–Church Committee letter to Obama about Snowden is worth reading. I was skeptical because, by today’s standards, ’70s mil-intel establishment figures sound like a bunch of dope-smoking hippies. But — aside from all the emdashes — of which there are a few too many — at least to my eye — they build a solid historical case.
